My big sister :)

This was a fun shoot, just like I mentioned before with my little sister, Morgan, my sister's are extremely different but both share a great quirkiness and fun personality about them. My oldest sister Elizabeth is feisty, spunky, and temper mental, she has her moments. She is kind hearted, and emotional but always seems to know when to be there for you. I took some pictures of her to give them to my mom and to gain more practice with taking pictures of people and learning how to position them. She was a great model in the 100 degree weather, needless to say she was extremely happy when it was over. Just like my youngest sister Morgan, who had to deal with rabid bugs and insects at her shoots :) What sisters will do for the ones they love! Here is a little sneak of her images, more on my facebook website.

This was hiding somewhere

I was looking through some of my pics and found this lovely.... As you can tell this is morgan's photoshoot, can't seem to figure out how I missed this picture!

weekend with the husband

Usually on Sunday's my daily routine consist of working on photography stuff, editing, and uploading, cleaning, and the occasional going out to a movie. Today, I didn't edit much but went out with my husband to our little excuse for a downtown and spent the afternoon walking around. Wilmington's downtown is kinda of a joke, but it was nice nonetheless to spend some time just strolling hand in hand with a lovely cup of ice cream! The weather was beautiful. I decided to try and take some snapshots downtown but; was unsuccessful, I did however get some shots of my husband as he waited for me to finish taking shots of other stuff.

New flyer

I've decided to branch out of the advertisement idea of things. I'm thinking back to roots, paper boy style. With that said, if you get one in your mailbox, please look at it before you toss it or use it for toilet paper, okay, great, thanks! =)

Just something from a past shoot, mal and marco

I was fixing my banner for my facebook site, and was looking for an image to put on there, and fell across this one, I was noticing I had some noise in the background, so I fixed it and I just love the expression on these two. They are such a cute couple.

What do photographers offer you?

I get alot of the times, why are photography sessions so expensive? I think "we" are more than moderately priced. Yes there are some photographers that truly feel their work is superior and is a miracle from GOD and with that in mind, you have to pay for that miracle. I however, have been trying to stay moderately priced but still offering great quality work.

After a two hour session, you should have up to 500 images to look through, this takes time. You also than select your images and start the editing process of color correcting. Even if you are the most beautiful person in the world, have the whitest teeth, no blemishes, and just the greatest everything your image still gets corrected. I go through all my images, and make sure I take all blemishes out, smooth skin, color correct your tones, enhance your eyes, sometimes add makeup if you ask for it, or a tan. I also make your teeth whiter, and if requested I can adjust personal features to your specifications. With this all in mind, I than blog your images with my watermark onto Facebook, than separately save your files without watermarks onto a CD/DVD and make a cover for your CD/DVD so you have a professionally made product to preserve your images.

After this is done, I usually post your images onto my personal website & blog.  This gives you the opportunity to share your pictures with family and friends. So now that 1 hour or 2 hour session turns into 10 hours of work for most photographers. Needless to say the fee of $125/10 hours = 12.50/ hour.  So not only are you paying for my time, talent, but you are also getting a product in your hand that you are able to print wherever your heart pleases if you so choose. I give prints out with my packages to show the quality of the lab that I use compared to your normal CVS/Walgreens/Walmart photography center's paper. This also is accountable into your session fee. So the true question is, do you feel the photograph offers you enough?

Here is an example of a color corrected images.  As you can see what it looks like out of the camera, and what it looks like when it get's onto your CD/DVD.

Talk Personality

This was one of my favorite shoots so far, because my model was willing to go anywhere, and take tons and tons of pictures.  The lovely model was very close to me seeing as she is my youngest sister. I think she could have pulled off a career in modeling but like she said you have to be stick thin, and she likes to eat. Both shoots with my sisters have always been nothing less than F-U-N.  For all the images from the shoot since there was alot, please visit my facebook page, under photo's click onto morgan's shoot.
